Install Rhythmbox 3.4.1 – Audio Player on Linux

Rhythmbox – a Gnome default music player is a free audio player that plays and helps organize digital music. It’s designed to work well under the GNOME Desktop using the GStreamer media framework. It is your one-stop multimedia application, supporting a music library, multiple playlists, internet radio, and more.

The latest release v3.4.x comes with a new web remote control plugin, addresses the grilo plugin crash on reload etc.

How to remove the app from Ubuntu 17.04, Ubuntu 16.10, Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.04

sudo add-apt-repository --remove ppa:vascofalves/gnome-backports    sudo apt-get update    sudo apt-get remove rhythmbox

If you want to revert back to previous release, run the following commands

sudo apt-get remove rhythmbox && sudo apt autoremove    sudo apt-get update
