How to install WeeChat 1.9 on Ubuntu 17.04, Ubuntu 16.10, Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 14.04
- Install https transport for apt
sudo apt-get install apt-transport-https
- Import the gpg key used to sign the repo
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver ha.pool.sks-keyservers.net --recv-keys 11E9DE8848F2B65222AA75B8D1820DB22A11534E
- Create a weechat.list file with the appropriate repository based on Ubuntu version. For this post, we will be adding the repo for Ubuntu 17.04 zesty. You can get the repos for supported versions by clicking the drop-down in the instruction section
